幼儿园 Summer Program
Ms. Catalina (Mulberry 幼儿园 teacher assistant) will lead the children in a continuation of the school-year rhythm using the summer season as the theme for the Summer Program. Mr. Steven (Sunflower 幼儿园 teacher assistant) will be the assistant teacher for all four weeks. 季节性, nutritious snacks, activities and nature-inspired crafts will reinforce the story and circle time. The two teachers will work together to create an enlivening and nourishing experience for each child.
This program is open to children in kindergarten who have experience in a school environment.

Sports Exploration
June 29 - July 2
Rising fourth through eighth graders will have fun participating in a variety of sports activities and games that will develop their gross and fine motor skills while learning and playing all week long! Coach Marianne Stinson will teach an overview of Volleyball, Basketball, Ping Pong and Pickleball. She will also go over catching and throwing with a baseball and softball. This camp is taught by long-time Camellia alumni-parent and experienced physical education teacher Marianne Stinson.

Faces 阶段 and Acts

Mr. 乔什·阿马拉尔 brings back the Drama and Theatre camp, ”的面孔, 阶段, and Acts" for rising first through fifth graders. During the workshop, campers will enjoy stories of Theatre's history, 神话, and heroes and participate in group activities to exercise skills in teamwork, imaginative play, 创造力, 焦点, proprioception, 耐心, 和股票. From meditative, dreamlike wonder to energetic, 参与游戏, campers will draw, 希望, 笑, 问题, and create in a Waldorf-informed drama and theatre experience. Mr. Amaral is Camellia’s eighth-grade class teacher and an experienced thespian.

Nature Explorers - Week One

Rising first and second graders will explore the natural world on daily morning nature walks along the levee of the Sacramento River. Observation skills will be honed, sketches will be made, and nature-inspired crafts will be created. The teachers will work together to create an enlivening experience for each child.

食物、音乐 & Stories of Latin America

Rising third through eighth graders, join us on this tour around the Americas! We will visit five countries - Mexico, 危地马拉, 哥斯达黎加, 秘鲁, and Colombia - cooking and tasting dishes that are representative of their culinary heritage, 听, 唱歌, and dancing to their folkloric music, creating art inspired by their most famous painters, and honoring their indigenous people by 听 to their stories and legends. Camellia’s beloved first through sixth grades Spanish teacher Maestra Lulu Flores will lead this tour around the Americas.

Camellia’s Woodworking teacher Mr. 骨头 will lead current Camellia students through introductory woodworking projects and techniques such as sanding, 发出刺耳声, and applying oil.
To cover the cost of materials, a supplies fee of $25 is included in the cost of tuition.
*This camp is open to rising 3rd-8th grade Camellia students only.

Clay Creations
7月24 - 28
Pinch pots, coil pots, slabs, score and slip. 在一起 Ms. 谢弗, rising first through fifth graders will play with clay, learning some new ceramic art skills. Pieces will be painted with ceramic underglaze then fired twice, the second time with a clear coating of glaze to make all pieces watertight and food safe. Ms. Schaffer is Camellia’s fifth grade class teacher and an experienced artist. To cover the cost of materials, a supplies fee of $25 is included in the cost of tuition.
